Masking Requirements for Social Enterprise and Admin Locations (Effective Dec.3, 2022)

Date: Dec. 2, 2022
To: All Idaho Youth Ranch Employees
From:  Camille Andersen, Chief People Officer
==============================================================================

We now have 9 counties back up to MEDIUM.  Though this does not require a change to the current masking and distancing protocols outlined below, we will continue to monitor.  It is a good time to consider getting the booster.

 If we return to HIGH community levels, staff will need to return to masking.  Individuals that are up to date with vaccinations and cleared by HR, will not need to mask, other than on Sales floors and in the public lobby areas. To be “up to date” on vaccinations, you MUST have the updated (bivalent) booster.  If you have questions about what it takes to be cleared by HR, please refer to the IYR Employee Portal.

 Updated (bivalent) boosters became available for people ages 12 and older over Labor Day weekend. The updated (bivalent) boosters are called “bivalent” because they protect against both the original virus that causes COVID-19 and the Omicron variant BA.4 and BA.5.  You are considered up to date with your COVID-19 vaccines if you have completed a COVID-19 vaccine primary series and received the most recent booster dose recommended for you by CDC.  PLEASE NOTIFY HR IF YOU HAVE RECEIVED THE BOOSTER TO KEEP YOUR STATUS UP-TO-DATE.

 We have also had several situations of people NOT notifying HR if they have tested positive for COVID or been exposed.  Please remember to still notify HR@youthranch.org if you have any symptoms or if you have been exposed.  Please refer to COVID guidelines on the IYR Employee Portal.

 In addition, in areas where instances of the flu is HIGH, it is RECOMMENDED to wear masks when in close contact with other staff / clients / customers to minimize the spread of the infection.  This is  recommended only.

 This is our weekly update on masking and distancing requirements for Social Enterprise and Admin locations based on guidance from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

If you experience COVID symptoms, test positive, or experience a “close contact”, inform your supervisor and follow HR’s instructions on the ‘return to work’ rules applicable to your specific situation.

Effective Saturday, Dec.3, 2022, here are the masking and physical distancing requirements for Social Enterprise and Admin locations within each County shown below:
