Idaho Youth Ranch created Leading Edge for Youth to provide a community to inform, support, and celebrate the incredible people working to support the mental and behavioral health of youth. 

  • Registration is required, but Leading Edge for Youth is FREE!
  • We don’t share your information with others.
  • We won’t SPAM you.
  • Registration simply allows us to moderate the community comments and content.

We rely on all community members to help keep this a safe place for people to share and view information. To do this, we request that all members comply with the following rules when contributing:

  • Keep it friendly
  • Add a trigger warning to the title of a new discussion thread in forums or a comment you add if it may contain triggering information
  • Do not share any personally identifiable information on clients you may work with that would violate HIPAA standards. You may share general information on a client you are working with to request input and ideas from other professionals on the site.
  • Be courteous and respectful. Appreciate that others may have an opinion different from yours.
  • In comments and in the discussion forum, please stay on topic. When creating a new discussion thread, give a clear topic title and put your post in the appropriate category. When contributing to an existing discussion, try to stay 'on topic'. If something new comes up within a topic that you would like to discuss, start a new thread.
  • Share your knowledge. Don't hold back in sharing your knowledge – it's likely someone will find it useful or interesting. When you give information, provide your sources.
  • Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior and speech.

We maintain the rights to remove comments, posts and threads to ensure that material posted is not potentially harmful. For this reason, we may edit or choose to delete any content, that:

  • contains disrespectful or derogatory remarks about any person
  • contains advice or content that we believe is damaging, unhelpful or distressing to others
  • contains swearing or offensive language, is nonsensical and/or irrelevant
  • promotes personal beliefs in a way that is disrespectful of the choices of others
  • is racist, sexist, homophobic, sexually explicit or suggestive, abusive or otherwise discriminatory or objectionable
