During these experiences, she has worked with a wide range of individuals, adolescents, families, and veterans whom faced challenges in various areas of their lives. Shannon has worked with teens and adults facing Substance Abuse and Co-Occurring Disorders, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, homelessness, family challenges, marital discord, attachment disorders, fertility issues, and grief and loss.

Over the past five years, Shannon has been able to work with couples through Idaho Youth Ranch’s Adoption Program that face fertility issues or want to grow their family through adoption. In working with the Adoption Program, Shannon has been able to help couples process through the grief of their inability to have children biologically, and also help them achieve their dream of having and growing their family through adoption. Shannon is very passionate about working with the adoption program as it has allowed her to utilize her case management, crisis intervention, and clinical skills. Shannon finds joy in helping couples become a family, helping adoptive families through crisis situations as children transition into their new home, and helping adoptive families find resources within the community to help them have a successful adoption.
