Scentsy Hosts Career Day

Scentsy Partners with Idaho Youth Ranch on Brighter Futures for At-Risk Kids

Meridian, Idaho (Sept. 19, 2013) — The Idaho Youth Ranch, an Idaho nonprofit focused on helping at-risk youth, is teaming up with Scentsy, Inc. to provide a career day for the Idaho Youth Ranch’s YOUTHWORKS! job trainees on Sept. 26 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

Dubbed Rally for the Ranch Career Day, the event will feature a tour of Scentsy’s Meridian campus, lunch with Scentsy’s CEO and President, a panel discussion where YOUTHWORKS! trainees can engage in conversation about career interests, and finally the day will conclude with a speed networking event for YOUTHWORKS! trainees and Scentsy employees.

“We’re thrilled about the Scentsy Career Day event,” said Peggy Jordan, Idaho Youth Ranch communications director. “It means so much to the kids we serve to realize they are part of a business community that wants to help them succeed.”

“When we learned about the Idaho Youth Ranch programs and the great work they do on behalf of disadvantaged Idaho youth, we were inspired and knew we’d found the perfect local organization to partner with for this year’s summer philanthropy,” said Heidi Thompson, Scentsy President. “Rally for the Ranch is our way of giving these young people the opportunity to explore career paths that interest them and to network with people already in the workforce.”

As part of Scentsy’s Rally for the Ranch summer philanthropy campaign, Scentsy employees also put together backpacks filled with school supplies for kids in Idaho Youth Ranch residential programs. Scentsy employees and local Scentsy Consultants are also working to “Stuff the Truck” by filling an Idaho Youth Ranch truck with donations to the Idaho Youth Ranch thrift stores.
