Hard-won financial lessons are some of the most important things you learn growing up. Young people from all walks of life get caught in financial traps and struggle to support themselves independently when they turn 18. The goal at Idaho Youth Ranch is to provide the young people in our programs with ALL the skills they need to transition successfully into adulthood.

That’s why we are so grateful to CapEd Credit Union for helping us out. CapEd works to support education and touch lives by financially empowering, educating, and enriching individuals and their communities. This company started out over eighty years ago as a small system of teachers that supported each other. It has now grown to help support teachers all over the state of Idaho. They have a strong ambition to help the community.

Members of CapEd have volunteered to come to Idaho Youth Ranch and teach these young people in our care about financial stability, their credit score, and so many other things that will allow them to be successful.

They also offer financial advice and training to the kids in our YouthWorks! program. YouthWorks! focuses on job readiness training, so this coupled with the financial training is helping set our kids up for success to end the circle of poverty. We would like to thank the wonderful and generous people at CapEd that have invested their time into the community and into the children of Idaho Youth Ranch. These children don’t normally get this type of opportunity. Thank you CapEd, for helping us provide promising futures.
