Store Donations

Where to Donate

Ask yourself: What good does that excess stuff do in your closet or garage? Especially when the good it can do for our thrift stores and Idaho’s kids is exponential. It’s time to look within. Donate what no longer works for you, but could work wonders for someone else.

Drop it off.

Bring it to any Idaho Youth Ranch thrift store -- click here for store hours and locations -- or,  drop it off at IYR headquarters, 5465 W. Irving Street in Boise between 8 am - 4 pm weekdays.

Effective February 1st, we are no longer able to pick up donations.  Due to rising labor & transportation costs, picking up donations no longer helps us raise the funds necessary to help kids in our programs.  Our stores will continue to welcome and value your donations, we just no longer can afford to send a truck and drivers out to pick them up.

Write it off.

Depending on your tax situation, your donation may qualify for:

  • Both federal and state income tax deductions for the fair market value of your contribution, AND
  • An additional Idaho state tax credit worth 50% of the donated item’s value, up to the legal limit.

Be sure to consult with your tax professional for specifics.

Business Contributions
