MERIDIAN

Meridian City Walking Tour

Take a self-guided tour through historic downtown Meridian and learn about the history of the city, practice map reading skills and more!

Meridian Movie Night

Grab your blankets, lawn chairs and snacks and head down to Settlers Park every Friday in June, July, and August for a free screening of a family-friendly movie. 

Meridian Public Library

Summer Reading Program – Read for at least 20 minutes per day and earn tons of cool prizes, including Roaring Springs Passes, Boise Hawks tickets and more! To learn more and sign up, click here. All ages are welcome to participate!

Check out the library’s community calendar for tons for free family-friendly events, from yoga for kids to family ‘crafternoons’ to ‘Tales to Tails with Frodo.’

The Village at Meridian

Join the Treasure Valley Children’s Theater every Monday for an interactive theatrical story time! (11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. & 12 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.)

 

NAMPA

Nampa Movie Nights

‘Silver Screen on the Green’ at Optimist Park will show free family-friendly movies every Friday all summer long! Movies begin at dusk beginning June 16 and continue through August 18! For a complete listing of movies, click here

Traveling Playground

Enjoy free, organized activities such as soccer, football, basketball, jump rope, volleyball, tag and more beginning June 5!

Fitness in the Park

Free boot camp classes every Wednesday at 8 a.m. at Lakeview Park beginning June 7. Participate in cardio drills, plyometricts, and body weight strength training. For more information, click here.

 

BOISE

Movies Under the Stars

Throughout the summer at various locations, the City of Boise will host 'Movies Uner the Stars!' For locations and movie schedules, click here. 

Picnic in the Park

The Idaho Foodbank provides free lunches every weekday during the summer to kids ages 1 to 18 at various locations in Boise. While you're there, check out the 'Summer Stem' bus!

Mobile Recreation Vans

Beginning June 6th at various locations and times throughout Boise, drop-in for free supervised activities.

Boise Library!

Check out the never-ending list of things to do at any of the Boise Public Library! locations. Play with virtual reality equipment, attend an adult coloring class or sign up for a 3D printing session!

 

IDAHO FALLS

Movies in the Park

Beginning Friday, June 16, enjoy free movies at the Freeman Park Bandshell! For more information, click here.

Fishing in the Park

Every Monday beginning June 5, head to Becker Pond in Ryder Park for free fishing! Idaho Fish and Game staff will be on site with poles and worms from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. For more information, click here.
